Saddle pricing, custom options and policies

 

There are many attractive options you can choose to add to your Bob Marshall Sports Saddle® (U.S. Trademark Registration No. 1,989,414, U.S. Patents 5,018,340 and 5,187,924). Many of the items listed below may come with your saddle, depending on which model you’ve selected. Please be aware that not all the options listed are available for every saddle. Making any changes to our catalog saddles (other than the addition of fenders, rear cinch, breast collar, sports sincha or different stirrups) are considered custom order saddles and are an additional $100, plus the cost of the option/change selected. Our catalog saddles offer a wide variety of choices, from basic to fancy, and we hope you find exactly what you're looking for! If you would like to customize your saddle further, we would be glad to help you create the perfect saddle.

 

Please note that there is a $25 charge for any changes to your saddle order after your saddle order has been processed.

One year guarantee on all workmanship and materials. Five year guarantee on tree parts (pommel and cantle). Standard seat colors are: toast and chocolate. Other colors are available at an extra charge except black (no cost after $100 custom fee is paid). They are: forest green, royal blue, sand, light gray, gray, red, purple, turquoise and maroon.

 

Most conchos other than standard are an additional $25.00 per saddle: Marshall star, silver Marshall star, gold & silver and black & silver stars, barbwire and black crosses. Turquoise crosses, diamonds, squares or jewel conchos are an additional $40.00. Please call for current availability of these conchos.

 

REFUND POLICY

 

Catalog Orders:

$125 restocking fee on all returned catalog orders.
Saddle must be returned within 10 days in good, resalable condition.
Cancellation on saddles already in the works are subject to the $125 restocking fee.

 

Custom Orders:
If your saddle is a custom order, it cannot be returned for a refund. If there is a problem with workmanship or material, the saddlery will repair or replace said parts or materials at their expense.

 

Custom orders start at $100 over the price of the catalog saddles, plus the regular price of all custom items.

 

All custom orders are given special handling and are made in a separate department and are hand built by the saddlery’s most experienced senior saddle maker. Special care is taken to make sure the saddle is made to your exact specifications.

If you decide you do not want your custom saddle, the saddlery will try to do one of the following:

  • A. You can send the saddle back to Sports Saddle at your expense and pay for Sports Saddle to do necessary alterations to bring the saddle back to regular catalog specs, if possible, OR,

  • B. Send the saddle back to Sports Saddle and they will put it in the IN STOCK list and try to sell the saddle for you. You may have to discount the price to get it sold. Custom saddles can be difficult to resell, depending on the extent of customizing that has been done. Sports Saddle will do their very best to sell the saddle quickly for you, and at the best possible price. There will be a 10% charge on the selling price of the saddle for this service.

 

 

If you receive your custom saddle and decide you want something changed or further customized, Sports Saddle will try to work with you, but any additional work will be at your expense.

 

In stock Saddles:
These saddles include:

• • New, completed instock saddles ready for shipment.

  • New, incomplete instock saddles ready to ship in approximately (2) weeks.

  • Returned saddles.

  • Saddles with slight blemishes or small defects in material or workmanship.

 

 

These saddles may be tried out for 10 days. The customer is out only the cost of shipping if they decide to return the saddle in good resalable condition after the 10 day trial period.

 

When you order an in stock saddle, Sports Saddle will charge your credit card for the value of the saddle plus shipping costs.

 

If you decide to return the saddle, Sports Saddle will be happy to issue a UPS ‘call tag’ to pick up the saddle at your address.

 

 

• • Have the saddle properly packaged and ready when UPS arrives.

  • Your credit card will be charged for the service or,

  • You can ship the saddle back yourself.

  • The full purchase price, less shipping costs, will be applied to your order, or,

  • Credited back to your credit card account if you decide not to place an order at that time.
